Hello loves!

♥ ♥ ♥

I hope everyone had a lovely week. A lovely Valentine’s Day and will have a lovely weekend!

My week was meh. Same ole same ole when it comes to school.Pretty boring as I’ve mentioned in my last few posts.

But Valentine’s Day. Oh that was great.

So I thought what better time to recap then with Katie for Marvelous In My Monday!

Valentine’s Day really isn’t a huge deal to me, but with the hard year Matt and I have had not only with my health issues, but money and job stresses, the day is a time we took to just enjoy our love for each other. Because trust me. Over the past year, that love has been tested. But I am happy to report I really think all the trials and tribulations and struggles Matt and I have encountered has only made us stronger.

So on to the mushy Valentine’s Day stuff.

The goodness actually started at school.

My teacher is evil and brought us cupcakes.

I can’t say no to cupcakes.

I mean it was Valentine’s Day and all.

I then went home to sit and patiently anxiously wait for Matt to get home so we could go to dinner.

Yes, I was that excited.

He walked in the door with these.

Now, I am typically not a rose person. And he knows that.

I kind of made of a joke and said “roses??”. He then explained why he got them. These are not your typical roses, they are called “Debi Lily Roses” so he said they were specially made for me (my name being Debbie and my favorite flower being lily’s) how can I not love him for that. It truly is the small things that matter and I thought that was incredibly cute.

We were then off to dinner! When we arrived at The Green Restaurant there was a line out the door. (it’s a small little place to begin with) We almost debated going somewhere else, but since neither of us were particularly starving we figured we could wait. Boy am I glad we did. I seriously forgot how amazing this place was. As I mentioned in my last post it is a local vegetarian restaurant that uses only organic local ingredients. Ah-mazing.

(I apologize ahead of time, the lighting in this place is horrible, I did my best)

We started with Kombucha’s! Seriously any place that offers these already wins in my book.

For appetizers Matt really wanted the vegan crab puffs, but I had my eye on the jerk tofu.

Solution? Get both.

Oh my gosh. That tofu. That sauce. I can’t even describe.

I didn’t have a crab puff, but Matt said they were amazing as well.

For Matt’s entree he got the Seitan Po-Boy.

I actually have never had seitan, so I stole a piece. Very good!! He loved it!

♥ ♥ ♥

I got a brown rice bowl with  mock chicken called the Diablo Red.

It may look like a hot mess, but it was amazing.

And it was demolished.

♥ ♥ ♥

Stuffed, happy and loved, we headed home.

We had plans for a few drinks, but I was way too stuffed.

Overall it was a great night and I am truly blessed to have such a great man in my life who loves me as much as Matt does.

I’m not easy to put up with and he does it ever so gracefully.

Did you do anything for Valentine’s Day?
