Happy Friday loves!

♥ ♥ ♥

This post is being written late in the afternoon, but hey, it’s still Friday and still time to celebrate! Although Friday’s are bittersweet for me, because yes it’s the end of the week and I don’t have class for two days, but I work on the weekends. At the school. And we just got a bunch of new animals in. And as super cute as they are, they are full of diseases and a handful to take care of.

(I know it sounds bad saying they all have diseases, but we get them from the humane society, and they don’t always vaccinate them, so it’s not uncommon. But that’s what we are here for, we make them all better and adopt them out!)

So in addition to this being late, it will probably also be short. But I didn’t want to miss out of all the #strangebutgood excitement happening over at Laura’s. So I had to at least make an appearance.

In the blog world, it’s almost hard to have strange food. I mean when you really look at all the things we are creating in our kitchens; strange = the new normal.

Take my contribution for example.

It starts of pretty innocent of roasting burning my kabocha squash.

Ok first example. To us foodies kabocha squash is not strange, to my fiance, kaboch-awha?

Second. Burning roasted veggies to most would be a trip to the garbage can. Not in foodie land. Burnt veggies are sometimes even done on purpose. (guilty)

Then we add the toppings.

Ok, I know, horrible picture. Shame on me, but after 6pm when the sun goes down so does any hopes of a decent picture in my apartment.

This little guy was topped with a drizzle of maple syrup and then whipped cottage cheese (odd look for fiance), peanut butter (an are you serious look), finished with an insane amount of cinnamon (did you do that on purpose look).

Again, to foodies, this may not be a weird dish. To my fiance, well I think he is questioning my sanity.

Another strange but good occurrence I had this morning, I blame on my indecisiveness.

Click protein frosting on my P28 bagel or Plant Fusion cookies and cream protein frosting.

I couldn’t decide.

So what’s a foodie to do?

You have both.

Most people can make decisions. I make ugly indecisive breakfasts instead.

It’s a hard life I lead I tell you.

Well loves, I know this post was a little on the bland side, but it’s all I have today.

Let’s hope the weekend brings more excitement!

I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Do you have any strange but normal cooking habits?

What do you do when you can’t decide what topping you’re in the mood for? Clearly I just go with all of them!
