Oh loves. Monday again.

Weekends are just never long enough, do you agree?

I know I am a broken record when I complain I have to work on Saturday, but this Saturday was extra hard, not because it was busy, crazy and insane. Oh no. Quite the opposite this Saturday. We were so dead, which to me is almost worst. Not only did my day drag on, but it really made me feel like I was wasting my Saturday away.

One of the only things that made Saturday a bit better was this.

It was one of our doctor’s birthdays, so of course that means cake!

And really.Who doesn’t love cake? No one. Unless you’re weird.

When I got home from work, Matt and I kind of just lounged around. He had a lot of free lance work to do, but as the evening rolled around I suggested a date night!
We had a Groupon for a dine in movie theater, but it only covered the movie and since dinner prices there are a little over priced we decided just to do dinner somewhere else and go see a movie.

Guess what we had for dinner…

Sushi. Shocker I know.

We ended up having an hour to kill before the movie started after dinner, so we went to a favorite pub of ours to grab a beer.

Then it was movie time!

There really weren’t any movies I really wanted to see that were playing, but we finally decided on Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

It was a decent flick. And I got popcorn out of it. And honestly, what’s better than movie theater popcorn? Not much.

(well maybe popcorn that didn’t cost me $8)

I bet you’re thinking Debbie, you went out for a sushi date night and didn’t get frozen yogurt?

Well loves, I was stuffed after sushi and popcorn, but I wouldn’t let you down. Don’t worry.

Sunday I made Matt take me for frozen yogurt.

Sadly they already got rid of my beloved peanut butter.  Their flavors change almost daily, but they do have a few that stay the same and thankfully my favorites pistachio and taro are always there.

Frozen yogurt seems to be becoming a weekly thing for us. And Matt always tells me since I am still needing to gain weight, I might as well do it the fun way. And if that means I get sushi and frozen yogurt every week…well. I’m kind of ok with that.

But I have more than sushi and frozen yogurt to share with you.
If you’re on Instagram I’m sure you’ve seen this gem sweeping the scene.
And for good reason.

Have you heard of Sweet Spreads yet?

If not you need too. I am a huge lover of coconut butter to begin with. But oh good golly. Melissa took coconut butter and made the most amazing flavor creations.

I’m talking about flavors so good that when I eat this coconut butter I literally say out loud “oh my gosh”  It’s that good.

Stay tuned for more on these amazing spreads, I have a feeling they are going to pop up in my daily eats.

Speaking of that. I have been playing around in the kitchen some more and finally think I found a good base protein bread recipe.

Still not perfect, but such a better texture than my last batch. Way more dense and bread like and not nearly as moist.

I’m having fun playing around with this though..

That I hadn’t tried them sooner, and that they are already almost gone.

I am trying to ration them and control how many I eat at one time, but they are so good, it’s kind of hard.
