Hello my loves.

I hope everyone had a very relaxing weekend. This weeks work schedule has been kind of crazy for me lately and very draining. Usually I have a random day off in the week that breaks it up a little bit for me which I like, but these past two weeks I have been working so much more due to another employee quitting. It was a sudden thing, so we all are trying to fill in when we can, which leads to longer weeks with no breaks. Needless to say I am wiped and haven’t had the energy or desire to do much after work other than sit on my butt.  Which in writing that out, that is something I want to change. Yes, I work long hours, but that doesn’t mean I have to become a couch potato as soon as I get home.

Note to self: Work on that.

So I do apologize for being a bit absent.

Long days mean I have had no desire to cook.

The first night started out good and Matt actually had dinner waiting for me when I got home from work.

Grass fed hamburger topped with avocado. And what made this burger even better? We had Einsteins Bagels brought into work and I took a pretzel bagel home with me and let me tell you, that made the most amazing bun.

Yum.

Then things started to go a little down hill. Well not really, but in terms of my lack of wanting to even go home to cook.

We ate at Whole Foods 3 days for dinner in a row.

I was actually craving sushi and Matt really wasn’t feeling our normal sushi spot, so we compromised on Whole Foods so I could get sushi and he could get something else. I also got a side of broccoli and brussel spouts. Whole Foods has the best roasted brussel sprouts.

I guess the sushi really hit the spot because I wanted it again the next day. Usually Matt try’s to talk some sense into me about how we don’t need to eat out two days in a row, save money blah blah blah, but he actually very quickly gave in. (probably because I offered to pay)

And even though I had just had it the night before, I wanted more sushi.

Had they not been out of what I had the night before, I probably would have gotten the same thing, but alas they didn’t have it this time, so I decided on a different type of roll. With you guessed it, more broccoli and brussel sprouts on the side.

Ok so you think we would be done with dinner’s at Whole Foods right?

Well Saturday after I got home from work we had an appointment to go look at a potential wedding location and it just so happens a Whole Foods is close by. We really only had the intentions of going in for a quick beer, but ended up getting dinner to-go.

I think I can say though that I’ve had my fill for a little bit.

We’ll see though.

And even though work is draining me, I really can’t complain too much.

On top of delicious dinners courtesy of Whole Foods, I must admit, I’ve had some pretty tasty desserts to end my nights.

I almost always have dessert, I like to go to bed on a full satisfied belly. And let me tell you, lately it has been extremely satisfied.

I had a free coupon for Halo Top Creamery Ice Cream, but hadn’t been able to find it. Well guess what Whole Foods had it, so I finally got to try it!

I had heard good things about the Lemon Cake flavor, so I decided to try that one first.

Guys. If you haven’t had this ice cream yet, you need to, and you need to get this flavor. It is seriously amazing. I don’t care if it’s low fat, or whatever, I could eat this whole pint in one sitting (don’t worry though…it lasted for two)

Since I loved the Lemon Cake so much I decided to try the Vanilla as well.

Doctored up a rice cake with home made chocolate sauce, vanilla Halo Top ice cream and a caramel drizzle.

Not too shabby.

But seriously. Lemon Cake. Go get it.

You can tell it’s getting hot in Arizona, because I am on a huge ice cream kick. And lucky for me I was able to try a new to me product that satisfies my ice cream craving.

Nada-Moo is a non dairy coconut milk ice cream and their flavors are to.die.for.

I had the ice cream delivered to my work as it is already 100 degrees here in good ole Arizona, and couldn’t wait to get home to try a flavor. The Banana’s for PB and Chocolate was calling my name and between my co-workers and I, I think we demolished at least half the pint in a mere 5 minutes.

Nada-Moo is gluten free, dairy free, egg free and sugar free product. And it taste amazing on top of that. I’m all about eating healthy, but I am not a fan of fake diet foods that have no nutrition, taste horrible and are made from questionable ingredients. Because even though a product may be low in calories and fat, that doesn’t make it healthy or good for your body.  Not a problem though when it comes to Nada-Moo.

Matt was a huge fan of this as well. He is pretty easy to please when it comes to ice cream, but the first time I gave him a bowl of it not telling him what it was his response was “what is this and where can we get more of it”.

Even though I have been indulging in at home desserts, I still have my craving for my frozen yogurt.

It’s always nice to switch things up, so I just run down the street and get my fix.

Perfect way to unwind. Fro-yo…and a beer.
And I know I complain a lot about work. Yes my days are long, but when I really think about it, I have some pretty great customers and it’s really not all that bad.
